DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! I CALLED ON MAY 3 AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY CARPET TO BE CLEANED ON THE NEXT DAY. I WAS SCHEDULED FOR ANYTIME BETWEEN 12:00 AND 4:00PM. I TOOK THE DAY OFF FROM WORK SO THAT I WOULD NOT MISS THE TECHNICIAN. AT APPROXIMATELY 3:30PM I CALLED THE OFFICE AND THE RUDE REPRESENTATIVE STATED “THE TECH HAS UNTIL 4:00PM…IT IS ONLY 3:30. CALL BACK IF HE IS NOT THERE AT 4:00. WELL OF COURSE NO ONE SHOWED AT 4:00PM AND I CALLED BACK. SHE WAS RUDE AND NASTY AGAIN AND PLACED ME ON HOLD. WHILE HOLDING ANOTHER EVIL REPRESENTATIVE CALLED MY PHONE I ANSWERED AND SHE SAID” THE TECHNICIAN IS RUNNING AN HOUR BEHIND”. I RESPONDED AND ASKED WHY COULDN’T THE REPRESENTATIVE TELL ME THIS 30 MINUTES AGO. THIS EVIL PERSON’S RESPONSE WAS “DO YOU WANT THE APPOINTMENT OR NOT”. SHE HUNG UP ON. I CALLED BACK SEVERAL TIMES AND SHE BEGAN TO YELL AND SCREAM AT ME. I CALLED THE CORPORATE OFFICE TO FILE A COMPLAINT. I WAS TOLD THAT SOMEONE FROM CORPORATE WOULD CONTACT ME. TO DATE, I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM ANYONE. THEY ARE THE WORST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH AND MY PLANS ARE TO DISCOURAGE ANYONE AND EVERYONE I KNOW TO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SO CALLED PLACE OF BUSINESS. YOU DON'T EVEN DESERVE A STAR! UGH!!!

I called and scheduled an appointment for my microfiber couch to be cleaned. The gentleman showed up within the timeframe quoted and asked for a water source to tap into. I was a little surprised that he didn't check tags first to see what type of cleaning my couch required. (I did a little research on couch cleaning before making the appointment to see if I could do it myself and found there are 2 types of cleaning for upholstery: water and solvent aka dry cleaning). After hooking up to my sink, he then wanted payment and signatures. I asked him about checking the tags, and he told me that he only did steam cleaning and they used it on all types of furniture. It would be ok. I insisted we check for cleaning instructions and found that my $3000 couch requires no water to be used. Once again he assured me that it would be ok, he does it all the time. I then asked him if the company would back it up if any damage happened to my couch because they were using water on it. He called the office and asked a few questions. He then said that if I'm uncomfortable with it, I shouldn't have it cleaned. I once again asked about the warranty, or if they will do anything if they cause damage by cleaning it with water. He then said they would not accept responsibility for any damage done. He then told me there was a new girl in the office that should have asked me if the couch can be steam cleaned and that this would have been avoided if she wasn't new. I sent him on his way out the door.

Can I give 0 stars for this? The technician arrived 4 hours late. The lady in the phone gave a wrong estimate than the technician citing that my home has way more ducts than the lady assumed. I declined the service and the technician offered a discount, which I accepted. The cleaning took only 40 minutes and technician mentioned that I could reach them out in case if I have any after-service issues. I noticed that the AC was not functioning effectively ever since I did the service and tried to reach out to the customer service. Guess what, they declined any after service citing that I didn't pay the full amount - a clear violation of what their receipt says. These are bunch of cheaters.

In trying to contact Sears corporate, I was given number after number to call to speak with someone who is over the home services division. I finally got a voice mail and left a message. I doubt I will ever get a call.

I then tried to call Sears to let them know this franchise was cleaning all furniture without checking for fabric or proper cleaning instructions. I was re-routed back to the franchise where I talked to the same woman I scheduled the appointment with, and she also apologized for the "new girl" who scheduled me without asking the right questions.

Don't trust Sears franchise in Grand Rapids (Kentwood) to clean your items properly. They only seem interested in taking your money for a service that may or may not be the right one.

All reviews on this are correct. Sears Carpet cleaning in Grand Rapids is horrible. Don't waste your money.

    Don't trust Sears franchise in Grand Rapids (Kentwood) to clean your items properly. They only seem interested in taking your money for a service that may or may not be the right one.

    All reviews on this are correct. Sears Carpet cleaning in Grand Rapids is horrible. Don't waste your money.
